We build payment experiences that meet South Africans where they already are — on WhatsApp.
LulamisaPay started with a simple observation: almost every South African already has WhatsApp open, but not every South African has airtime, a banking app, or spare cash sitting around on the day a bill is due.
So we built the payment counter inside the chat itself — electricity, traffic fines, airtime and municipal bills, payable in full or split into smaller amounts that match payday, all without leaving the conversation.
ID numbers, names and phone numbers are encrypted at rest. We only ever ask for what a transaction actually needs.
No hidden costs in the fine print. What you see in the chat before you confirm is exactly what you pay.
No jargon, no apps to download, no data left to spare. If it doesn't work on a basic smartphone with low data, we don't ship it.
We're built around POPIA data protection principles from day one — not retrofitted after the fact.
