You have the right to request deletion of the personal information LulamisaPay holds about you. This page explains how to make that request and what happens to your data.
You can request deletion in any of these ways:
To help us locate your record and confirm the request is genuinely yours, please send it from, or reference, the WhatsApp number registered to the account.
On a verified deletion request we erase the personal information we hold about you — including your name, ID number, email address, and saved profile details — and remove it from any future research or analytics use.
We may retain certain transaction records (such as a record that a payment was made, when, and for how much) where we are legally required to keep them — for example to meet tax, accounting, anti-fraud, and other regulatory record-keeping obligations under South African law. Where we retain such records, we de-identify them as far as is practical, and we delete them once the applicable legal retention period has passed. We do not use retained records for marketing or to re-contact you.
We aim to acknowledge your request within 5 business days and to complete the deletion within 30 days, except for any information we are legally required to retain as described above.
